Africa:Total Investment Hits Over D4 Million

 The total investment  in 2014 has hit a staggering amount of more than D4M, according to its officials.

 
Most of the investment was focused on water supply, education, health, environment and conflict resolution, the Siffoe based youth-led organisation chairperson, Kalifa Kanteh, disclosed.
 
Speaking Saturday during the organisation's third annual assembly, he said their projects were divided into 12 core areas; all of which he said, have made positive life changing impacts on the people of Siffoe and elsewhere in the country.
 
Kanteh also informed that they have also made giant achievements in social assistance, revolving fund for women and the implementation of partnership projects with their Danish counterparts.
 
Targets for 2015.
 
The YPWB boss said as a committed youth-led community based organisation, it is their desire to continue bringing programmes that will impact in no small measure on the lives of the villagers of Siffoe and beyond, particularly the in need. "We will continue with our educational project center in Siffoe to support out of school children to acquire skills," he said.
 
He further asserted that they will be also receiving vising volunteers from Holland and Denmark who will be conducting trainings on skills and education. "Our water supply project phase II will also be extended to other parts of Siffoe in 2015," he pledged.
 
Kanteh expressed gratitude to their international partners, particularly Anne Grete Camara, chairperson of the Children Without Borders in Denmark for their continued support.
 
While commending the people of Siffoe for their continued commitment to the development of the community, Kanteh equally called on them to take ownership of the organisation and its projects.
 
The alkalo of the village, Ba Jerreh-Darboe commended the executive members of the organisation for their selfless commitment to the advancement of his community. He said their dedication has improved the wellbeing of Siffoe.
 
The village head also called on people to always put aside their differences and direct their focus on the development of the village.
 
The chairman of the Siffoe Village Development Committee, Ebrima Jallow, said the Committee is always proud of the organisation and all its executive members for their strong commitment to the development of the village.
